Capabilities
- Job workflow: Job creation, assignment to an inspector, execution, reporting, timesheets and closure for invoicing, all on one job page.
- Certificates and calibration: Personnel and equipment pages hold every certificate and calibration document; the flag system warns one month before expiry.
- Reporting: Any Word document becomes a template filled with job data, improved by an AI assistant and signed in AMPS.
- Assets and history: Every asset and job has a QR code that opens its page and job history; assets hold sub-assets and jobs can be grouped.
- Time, costs and invoicing: Timesheets with team batch export and payroll export, reimbursable costs, and invoices created in Xero.
- Your data stays yours: Documents in your own OneDrive, SharePoint or Google Drive, not on AMPS servers: leave AMPS and you keep everything. Sign-in through your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace SSO (SAML available), so your IT can cut access instantly. Data export and Power BI on all data.
The problem
In traditional NDT job management a host of emails, spreadsheets and disparate systems leads to confusion: the work pack is in an inbox, last year’s report is on a laptop, the timesheet arrives two weeks late and the invoice goes out when someone remembers. Certificates expire quietly until a client audit finds them.
How AMPS runs an NDT job
A supervisor, administrator or inspector creates the job with client information, PO number and scope.
The supervisor assigns it to an inspector with the documentation attached; the inspector sees it on their own jobs page.
The inspector does the work and uploads photos and documents to the job from a phone or tablet.
The report is generated from your Word template with job data filled in, improved by the AI assistant if wanted, signed in AMPS and sent to the client from AMPS, so everyone knows what was sent and when.
Time and costs are logged against the job, with reimbursable costs marked as such.
The job is marked complete and ready for invoicing; the invoice is created in Xero.
Certificates, equipment and assets
AMPS keeps personnel and equipment certificates on dedicated personnel and equipment pages, and its flag system warns one month before a certificate, calibration document or scheduled inspection falls due, so managers always know what is missing or expiring. In AMPS every asset and job carries a QR code. Scanning it opens the asset page and the history of jobs performed on it, assets can hold sub-assets, and jobs can be grouped, for example per shutdown.
Beyond simple jobs
Shutdowns group dozens of jobs against a tank farm or a plant with job statuses per asset and Power BI comparison of performance and cost. Assets that need annual or two-yearly inspection carry their history and get a due-date flag. Third-party inspectors can be given a temporary role with access to specific asset histories.
What stays the same
Documents saved through AMPS live in your own OneDrive, SharePoint or Google Drive, not on AMPS servers, so an existing QA folder structure keeps working unchanged and everything stays yours if you ever stop using AMPS. The AMPS reporting case study puts it plainly: since AMPS creates the report folder for every job, you continue to comply with your QA system with no changes required.
