# AMPS for shutdowns and turnarounds

> AMPS addresses the problems every shutdown manager knows: finding the asset, keeping everyone on the current work pack, reaching past documentation, checking personnel and equipment documents, organising dozens of jobs and measuring performance afterwards.

## Key facts

- Six shutdown problems addressed in the case study: asset location, communication, past asset documentation, personnel and equipment documentation, organisation, performance metrics
- Reports uploaded to the job's reports folder inform supervisor, client and stakeholders instantly
- Job statuses per asset show what is in progress, not yet started or finished
- QR codes can be printed and displayed on an NDT wall or department
- Pricing: NZ$60 (Starter) and NZ$50 (Business) per user per month excluding GST, Enterprise on quote; all features on every plan; free trial on request

## Typical use cases

- Creating the assets (a tank farm with tanks as sub-assets) so everyone can navigate to them with Google Maps
- Keeping the current work pack on each job page with real-time notification when it changes
- Scanning an asset's QR code for the history of past jobs, reports and who did them
- Tracking working-at-heights, confined-space and calibration documents with one-month expiry flags
- Grouping all shutdown jobs in a job group and reading statuses per asset
- Comparing shutdown performance, cost and time allocation in Power BI

## The problem

A shutdown puts multiple teams, assets and jobs on one site at the same time with a hard deadline. The case study lists the recurring failures: nobody can find the asset, documents are re-sent endlessly, past reports are scattered, certificates and calibrations are unknown, jobs are not organised and performance is not measured.

## How AMPS runs a shutdown

Create the assets first, for example a tank farm with five tanks as sub-assets, so everyone can navigate to them with Google Maps. Keep the work pack on each job page; updates notify everyone in real time and reports uploaded to the job inform supervisor, client and stakeholders instantly. Scan an asset's QR code for its history: past jobs, who did them, how long they took, related documents. Track personnel and equipment documents on their page with the one-month expiry flag. Group the jobs in a job group and read statuses per asset.

## Afterwards

All AMPS data is available to Power BI, which is how customers compare job or shutdown performance, costs and time allocation.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do we stop sending the same work pack to everyone repeatedly?

Each job page in AMPS contains the most up-to-date documents. When a document is updated, everyone is notified in real time, so there is one current work pack per job instead of copies in inboxes.

### How do we see the overall status of the shutdown?

Group the shutdown's jobs in a job group, for example "Mount Eden Tank Farm 2024". AMPS shows job statuses on each asset's jobs tab, so reporting the overall status is a matter of reading which jobs are in progress, not started or finished.

### How do we check contractor certificates at the gate?

The personnel and equipment page tracks documents such as working-at-heights certificates, confined-space certifications and equipment calibration forms, and the flag system has warned one month before any of them expire.

### What does it cost?

AMPS is priced per user per month in New Zealand dollars, excluding GST, with every feature included: Starter NZ$60 (up to 50 users), Business NZ$50 (51 to 100 users) and Enterprise on quote with custom integrations at no extra charge. There are no add-ons or hidden fees, and a free trial with access to all features is available on request.
