The setting
In factory-like settings such as steel mills, gas plants or dairy processing facilities, assets are critical for seamless operations. The QA department needs to know what was inspected, when, by whom, with what result, and what is due next, without building a folder maze on a file server.
How AMPS is used
Assets are created with sub-assets where needed and automatically assigned QR codes. Inspections are planned on the asset and the flag system notifies the QA team one month in advance when one is due. Every job performed on the asset, with its documents, reports, timesheets and costs, appears on the asset’s jobs page. Field staff scan the QR code on the equipment to retrieve everything relevant on a phone or tablet.
Contractors and analysis
Third-party inspectors get a temporary role with access to the histories they need, revoked afterwards. All AMPS data is available to Power BI, which is how customers compare job or shutdown performance, costs and time allocation.
