## What the generic tools do well

Dispatch boards, route planning, quoting catalogues, recurring invoicing and large ecosystems of add-ons. If your work is mostly scheduling people to jobs and billing them, they are mature and inexpensive.

## Where NDT is different

The person must hold a current certificate for the method and level; the instrument must be in calibration against traceable standards; the report must follow a method-specific, code-referenced template; and an accreditation assessor will trace a report back through all of it. Generic tools have no concept of any of this, so it lives in spreadsheets beside them.
