## Key facts

- Reports get revised when a client queries a result or a typo is found; the superseded revision must remain on file
- Procedures and templates carry revision numbers checked by assessors against the report
- Work packs updated mid-shutdown must reach every person on site
- AMPS job pages hold the most up-to-date documents and notify everyone when a document is updated

Also known as: version control, document revisions, report revision.

## The failure mode

Two versions of a report in circulation, or a technician working from last year's procedure printed from an inbox.

## Revision control in AMPS

Each job page in AMPS contains the latest documents; when a document is updated everyone is notified in real time, and the history feature records the change. Report files live in the job's report folder in your own OneDrive, SharePoint or Google Drive, whose own version history applies.
