Recertification and renewal of NDT certificates

Recertification is the periodic renewal of an NDT certificate, by evidence of continued work and vision (renewal) or by re-examination (recertification), at the intervals set by the certification scheme.

Why it is a management problem

A mid-sized inspection company holds hundreds of dated documents: method certificates, vision tests, site inductions, working-at-heights and confined-space tickets, radiation licences. Each lapses on a different date, and a lapse discovered during a client audit invalidates reports.

Recertification in AMPS

AMPS keeps personnel and equipment certificates on dedicated personnel and equipment pages, and its flag system warns one month before a certificate, calibration document or scheduled inspection falls due, so managers always know what is missing or expiring. The AMPS shutdown case study lists working-at-heights certificates, confined-space certifications and equipment calibration forms among the documents tracked this way.
