Also known as: ISO 9001:2015, quality management system certification.
ISO 9001 versus accreditation
ISO 9001 says a company manages quality; ISO/IEC 17020 or 17025 accreditation says its inspections or tests are technically competent and impartial. Many inspection companies hold both, and the record-keeping requirements overlap heavily.
ISO 9001 records in AMPS
Every action taken in AMPS is tracked by its history feature, and each job page holds the latest version of its documents with everyone notified when a document is updated. Documents saved through AMPS live in your own OneDrive, SharePoint or Google Drive, not on AMPS servers, so an existing QA folder structure keeps working unchanged and everything stays yours if you ever stop using AMPS. The AMPS reporting case study notes that because AMPS creates the report folder for every job, customers continue to comply with their QA system without changes.
