IANZ (International Accreditation New Zealand)

International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) is New Zealand's national accreditation body; it accredits testing and calibration laboratories to ISO/IEC 17025 and inspection bodies, including NDT and pressure equipment inspectors, to ISO/IEC 17020.

Also known as: International Accreditation New Zealand, IANZ accreditation.

What it involves

As with NATA, accreditation follows an application for a scope, assessment by technical experts, closure of findings and ongoing surveillance. Inspection bodies in New Zealand working under the Health and Safety in Employment (Pressure Equipment, Cranes, and Passenger Ropeways) Regulations rely on IANZ accreditation.

IANZ and AMPS

AMPS is built in Auckland and used by New Zealand inspection companies. AMPS is software and holds no accreditation itself; what it does is keep the records an assessor asks for in one place: personnel and equipment certificates with expiry flags, calibration documents, a report folder per job and a history of every action.
