Also known as: EN 4179, NAS 410, NANDTB, aerospace NDT qualification.
What they require
Documented training and experience per method, general, specific and practical exams, annual vision tests and recertification at intervals set by the standard. A Level 3 (often an outside Responsible Level 3) approves procedures and the training program, and the NANDTB provides national oversight and examination.
Aerospace records in AMPS
Aerospace audits (NADCAP, primes) examine training and certification files closely. AMPS keeps personnel and equipment certificates on dedicated personnel and equipment pages, and its flag system warns one month before a certificate, calibration document or scheduled inspection falls due, so managers always know what is missing or expiring. Every action taken in AMPS is tracked by its history feature, and each job page holds the latest version of its documents with everyone notified when a document is updated.
