Also known as: Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing.
Role
AINDT brings together technicians, Level 3s, inspection companies and asset owners. For an NDT business the practical side is the certification scheme: technicians are examined and certified by AINDT rather than by their employer, and clients check the AINDT register.
AINDT and accreditation
AINDT certifies people. The company that employs them is accredited separately, by NATA in Australia or IANZ in New Zealand, to ISO/IEC 17020 or 17025. Both sets of records are audited.
AINDT certificates in AMPS
AMPS keeps personnel and equipment certificates on dedicated personnel and equipment pages, and its flag system warns one month before a certificate, calibration document or scheduled inspection falls due, so managers always know what is missing or expiring. The certificate PDF lives with the technician’s record in your own OneDrive, SharePoint or Google Drive.
